Ordained Fate starts off its debut album with the scorching "Let's Make A Deal," making a heavy 'n' groovin' statement about false teaching and greed in the name of Jesus. The rhythm section is found rockin' and tight, with cool guitar tones and urgent BGV's. Most of the tunes include a mixture of gothic sound with thrashin' chops. The fact that this is a female-fronted band really doesn't enter into the critique of this album--this music is good, period. The song hooks are definitely edible and show a good knowledge of the Thrash and straight-ahead Metal genres. "Gold Cross" is another killer tune, expressing the mixed message of someone wearing the cross, but denying the teaching of the cross. "Some day that gold cross will weigh heavy on your soul." Wow! "Gethsemane" and "Tame The Tongue" are two of the other big highlights. With a debut this good, Ordained Fate is sealing their destiny of being a respected Metal band. Way to go!
