One Bad Pig's Blow the House Down video is full-throttle Thrash/punkie-funk music. The spontaneous "live" show is action-packed fun and real ministry all in one. Stunts and antics abound: jumping into giant ice cream sundaes, a dozen guys or so smashing guitars (in, of course "Smash the Guitar"), skateboarders ripping up the stage, and a chorus line of headbangers doing the hair swirl during the song "Cut Your Hair" (the song ends with Carey "Kosher" Womack cutting off some guy's long hair--now that's sacrificing for the arts!). Mixed in with all the swiney cohorting is the ministry of "Isaiah 6" (a repentent song dealing with the recovery of your heart) and "Red River," a more melodic and rocky tune, that is visually dramatic cleansing by the blood of Jesus. The cameo appearance by the band members away from the stage are insightful to the band's beginnings and reasons for being "One Bad Pig." These guys started out trying to reach the Punk kids and the whole thing took off. The comments are short and sweet and then you're back "live" with the band pushing hard and the crowd loving every minute of it. The drums and bass hold down the Thrash-to-Speed fort (Phillip Owens on drums and Daniel Tucek on bass), while Paul Q-Pek's driving guitar rhythms keep the pork rinds rolling. Lead screamer and vocalist Carey Womack handles the Speed and Punk emotions well and does actually have a really good scream. All in all, this is an infectiously good time of music and ministry that has a heavy impact. It's no wonder why One Bad Pig won Heaven's Metal's reader's poll for "Best Live Show." It was a smart move to put it on video. The sound quality and mix is good. The tape ends with the rollicking "Never Forget the Cross"--an anthem we'll all do well to heed. So, grab the video, pop it in the ol' VCR, turn it up LOUD and "Blow the house down!"
