Revelation
Rapture

In the mid-80's I would have thought this a pretty cool album. Unfortunately, for the sake of this band, it's the mid-90's and it's sad to say, but Rapture is a little dated. Those harmonically chimed notes with the whammy bar vibrato over eighth note power chords smacks a bit much like classic metal and a bit less of creativity.
Although I didn't have a lyric sheet, their songs leave no question of their stand for God. Apart from Revelation's style, I also felt they were holding back; not going for that aggression or passion that seems to separate the men from the boys. Production was decent and I am able to enjoy the slower songs. I might recommend it to those who like Barren Cross and enjoy encouraging lyrics.
