Soul Child

What do you get when you cross Bride with Holy Soldier? Well, you get a great set of lungs for one thing. Vocalist Elijah Gomez shreds the microphone with a range that is hard to top. The mighty vocals coupled with the raw and aggressive music provide some great rock 'n' roll.
Soul Child (formerly called Forgiven) has captured a lot of energy on the demo, with the recording resembling a board mix at a live show. This may account for the slight sloppiness in the guitar tones. There is a definite attitude displayed throughout the demo as well, but nothing can match the in-your-face explosion of the chorus in "No Other Way." The song smoothly creeps around and then BLAM! -- your laying on the floor.
With a demanding producer and a tighter grip on the rhythms, Soul Child will soon be reviewed at the beginning of the ALBUM REVIEWS section with all the other big boys. But until then you can clamp your ears on these promising tunes.
