"Dead Man" and "Monkey's Laughter" won't make you swim with joy, but you won't drown in misery either. The songs lack a tight structure that would keep the listener hooked. The musical aspects of the songs are somewhat along the lines of what has been flowing out of Seattle recently.
"Dead Man" has a cool bridge that resembles Alice In Chains, but the vocals (while good) don't quite reach the intensity of Layne Staley. Simple chord changes and a better transition from verse to chorus would do this song wonders. "Monkey's Laughter" starts off with some jangly guitars that create sort of a Seventy Sevens' vibe, but there is nothing else that really stands out.
The musicians in the band have the potential to put out an intense demo with more concentration placed on song writing.
