I know what you 'bangers are thinking, "Isn't this the band that was around 10 years ago, singing punky stuff like "God Rules", and then disappeared four years ago?" Well, they are back with a new outlook on life, a new sound and a smokin' hot new album. As with any good rock album, the dominant forces here are Sim Wilson's passionate, dark vocals, and Gym's power chord driving guitar. All eleven songs rock hard with a dark feel, similar to The Cult, and the hooks get better and better with each listen. The lyrics are well thought out and dark and artsy; but a common thread of spiritual hope runs throughout. There is much here about end times and the fallen world. You can see from some of the titles that this is heavy stuff: "World Come Crashing Down"; "Land of Luxury"; "Love Me Dangerously"; and "Last Rites (There Is No Sky)". "The poetry of the people is no longer spoken/ and the will of the willing has long since been broken/ Silver and gold have become the brass token/ The laughter of the children has long since been halted/ By the nuclear crimes that man has assaulted/ They try to blame God, but He cannot be faulted/ Come little baby, don't you cry/ Your Daddy's gonna come down from the sky." - from "Time". Like life, this album displays pain, lost love, confusion, unanswered questions, and hope for the future through divine intervention. And besides that, it totally rocks dude! Get it today!!!
