Crimson

Out of all the influences that this band listed in their bio, the one band that they sound like the most wasn't listed -- that is, Armageddon. Actually, mix Armageddon, Tourniquet and the growls of Mike Lee and you have an idea of Crimson.
All five songs have more crunch than a Nestle's chocolate bar, and are much better for you spiritually and physically -- unless, of course, you injure yourself while moshing around.
My favorite was "Life Awaits," which starts with a very eerie description of Christ's death before it rips your head off with its intensity. This tune had the best Tourniquet vibe in it. A lot of thought went into the lyrics as well. "You defend the darkness, but you're lying in your grave, sinking six feet under/ It's keeping you enslaved." ("Chains of Death")
The production is fair to good, but it is listenable. Give it a shot. Crimson is worth checking into.
