What does Magdallan, Tamplin and Shout have in common? Ok, that's an easy one. Let's try this: What does Tamplin, Ransom, Deliverance, Vengeance Rising and Mortification have in common? Gotcha! I'll give ya a hint, though: samples of their best songs are on the latest release from Frontline called, The Intense History of Christian Metal...and what a collection it is! From 1987 to the current Metal charts this compilation gives you the best of Intense Metal and a few rockers managed to get on the disc as well. Since Christian Metal hasn't been around as long as Amy, this provides a short time span, a "quick start guide" in review of some early bands that have influenced the early days of Christian Metal, and these bands will continue to be a part of the Metal scene for some time to come. The Intense guys have a great collection for you, and when you slip it into the player, hit repeat at the same time as play. This disc is so tasty, you'll want to hear it again and again, 'til more history passes, and Volume II comes out!
