Korn/Limp Bizkit wanna be's. That's where this review starts and stops. If a song doesn't sound like one it sounds like the other. If you've been wanting a good Christian alternative to this style of music here it is, but as for me I was let down. I was told Gryp was a cool metal band and went to check 'em out and well, wish I hadn't.

So what's with the rating then? Well I was going to give it a 1, but they are good Christian guys with good lyrics so throw in a .5 for that, plus the CD has the full length Bible that you can read in any CD Rom drive. That's cool, but it's not the band's idea, all the CDs on this label have it on them, still it's cool and worth a point also so 2.5.

Production of this album is good, the music seems to be mixed well. I guess I'm just reeling from a serious lack of originality and this not being one of my stronger styles of music I'm probably being overly harsh in this review (so take that into account) still it's what I feel, so it's what I'm giving you.

    2.5/10

HM Magazine #79Reviewed by David BixlerSometimes people are at the right place at the right time. After introducing their harsh brand of rap-core with their independently released 5-song EP, Gryp was prepared to release this CD independently as well. That is, until some reps from Metro One heard them play and wanted to make it a label release instead. And what a good choice those reps made. What ensues on this 11-song CD is much more…The Phantom Tollbooth 1999Reviewed by Joe RockstrohSo what do these guys have going for them besides a cool name? Well, for one, they've already been pigeonholed into the rapidly expanding xian music genre deemed "rap-core." That's a shame, because Gryp really has something unique with their debut full length Indecision. Musically, Gryp could be described as having the hip-hop/rap touches of Korn combined with the hardcore chaos of a Training for…The Phantom Tollbooth 1999Reviewed by Chris KingHere we have the second release from Gryp, a psychedelic hardcore band from Fresno, California. The first offering was a self released 5 song EP entitled Real. A review of this EP can be found here. The band's latest effort, Indecision, contains 11 tracks, four of which are newly recorded versions of songs from Real (all but "Hypocrite" are here). Of the seven new tracks included, three of them,…
