Reviewing this tape was very hard to do. Don't get me wrong, Nehemiah is an extremely talented band. The problem was that they aren't metal at all. The best way to describe them is...think of some of Whiteheart's harder edge tunes and you have Nehemiah (Maybe that explains why ex-bassist Anthony Sallee is in Whiteheart now). On this four-song demo, you have quality: good vocals, strong lyrics and great musicianship. Three tunes sound like Whiteheart's rockin' tunes without that guitar crunch, and the one soft tune, "The Way It Should Be," sounds like something Whiteheart would get a hit off of. In a letter, guitarist Steve Lockridge said they are changing their style to more like Guardian or Bride... If that's the case, their next tape could blow the walls down.
