Like Begotten Breed, Disciple relies on the old piercing and gothic vocal style that bands like Raven and Queensryche were using in the early, early 80's. It comes off pretty clear, but dated. Songs like "Devil's Seed" show a good balance between lower register vocals and the high end wails. Fans of early Sacred Warrior (like, the demo days) will like Disciple, especially tunes like "Dyin' In Sin," because of the harmony BGV's in the chorus. "Humble Thyself" is done here, incorporating this known worship song into the choruses. "Prelude" is a different piano piece showing an adventerous and creative side to the band, as they go into "Jesus is the Saviour," which is a great ballad, until it stops and then goes into a fast-paced second half.
